I’ve been many things in my life; a teacher, a mom, caseworker, burger flipper, and through it all I’ve been a baker too. I’ve been baking for years and have enjoyed sharing what I make just as much as I enjoy hoarding it all to myself when my children have gone to bed. My thought was to start sharing on a larger scale, thus Whisk & Scone was born.

Located in the beautiful hills of Danby, New York, Whisk & Scone is a one person bakery.

I’m very much like the things I enjoy making. I’m a little bit sweet (or so I think), a little bit sassy (or so my family tells me) and I believe that things should be simple and taste scrumptious. No good having something that looks amazing and then tastes like cardboard with sugar on top.

I suppose my husband would say it’s a two person shop since he does the dishes……

Why scones you ask? I say why not scones!? They are so versatile and delicious. You can make any flavor combination into a scone. Sweet, savory, you name it and it can be done. These are American type scones and they are more moist and a tad bit sweeter than their traditional counterpart, which I think makes them scrumptious and totally worth consuming.

You might enjoy one with your morning coffee or tea, you might enjoy one for dessert with your favorite cold glass of milk or you could nibble on one as you sip your after dinner spirit. You might even enjoy one for lunch. Go ahead, no judgments here.
